Time Repeats Itself

by Fire Catches   Apr 2, 2012

I lie here in sadness, wishing for something better to come your way
But I know your decision, what you make, and the path you laid

You let his fabricated truth tarnish your sight
Now you're at a fork, what to choose. This battle will be a hard fight

You see these mirrors, all around you. Each a different look
But I see the light, deep within you. Careful, he'll take what he thought he took

Your heart is the scenery, and your brain is the frame
To which holds you on the wall, each year something to change

You are clay, to which you mold new lives.
But you seem to break each one, with your sad goodbyes

It hurts to know, I have to fight this all over. This feeling of deja vu
My heart is heavy because the pain you put us through

I just need to rewind time. Write history with something new
I need you to see, there is more to you.
