Pictures Arent Always So Perfect.

You see a picture of a girl, with a smile upon her face.
looking so peaceful, so elegant, full of grace.

You think shes perfect, maybe the girl of your dreams,
But remember nothing is as it seems.

This girl in the picture cuts her wrists, bleeds out all her pain,
she cries herself to sleep everynight, thinking "what do i have to gain?'

Being treated unfairly by the ones she loves,
she tries for some affection but only ends up getting shoves.

She puts on a smile like in the picture for the world to see,
thinking to herself "if they only knew the real me"

    Simple rhymes, yet how you placed them for this poem is special. I like the repetition of the beginning and ending, it kinda made the poem whole. Another great piece 5/5 :)

    I have been there so many times. I used to cut I never stopped till I finally was able to get rid of the pain. I have the scars that remind me of the pain. But I don't feel it anymore. Loved it.
