This poem is so sad but it shows that you are a strong person.

Of course you want to be there for your loved one but sometimes we need to regroup ourselves so that we can remain strong. There's nothing wrong with asking for help or admit that things are hard. I think that is the first step in life to becoming stronger. Awesome poem hun and I really loved the metaphor of the driftwood.

Even the strongest of women need a mental break, a time to inhale, and gather her strength once more.

Such a sound self-awareness. Knowing that one has to take a break sometimes that it's impossible to go on all the time. And if we truly want to be there for hte one we love when it really matters, then one has to take breaks sometimes.
