Take It on the Chin

by Timothy   Apr 3, 2012

I once belied a mousetrap,
with leopard masking tape, mouthing some
careless chew of cud. Once, it pushed the doors aside
and carelessly disputed the child of whom I strangled.
Some old poppycock I thought, and turned aside
from the all-seeing corpse that kneel beside any man.
'Called a couple of chaps and took a cab,
Through Bar-le-Duc and Le Havre,
which was driven by the mightiest of all weapons.
Stammered some coins and spawned an image,
with the mouse of whom I should have wept
but could only hide inside the inner-stick of a plastic tube.
Crept through the stillness of the exposed,
fell in love with the old, so,
where did it all go wrong?

Yup, I read it many times and there are times when I can picture something but it's not clear yet.
However, I like the words that you have use and the question at the end.

Your fantasy writes, Timothy, are always thoughts masticating! It's like a bulldozer is speaking. The flow.. the wording, all just make good sense to me. I don't pretend to understand your work; you are beyond creative, man ;)
