Behind the mask ( On the Set)

by Rainbow   Apr 4, 2012

Behind the mask
Sharp and fast.
With her acts.
Scene 1; she smiles with fake bliss.
Scene 2; She laughs with false happiness.
Scene 3;She excuses herself to the bathroom.
Scene 4; She stops acting like a robot, drone.
Scene 4; She weak, sad, depressed, confused, and hurt.
She's her.
It's no film when no one around.
It's a chilled fire in her mouth.
No talk, No listen, all in her mind.
Where is she?
Out of this dimension.
She's broken down, like recession.
Ok, she's back in reality.
It's almost time to get back to business, no more dreaming.
She's preparing herself
Getting back into character.
Reading her script several times.
So she can get her lines down right.
After another 15 minutes.
Its time to get back to the set.
Out the restrooms the actress goes
Before she looks in the mirror and puts back her "face" were molds.
Into her skin like its suppose.
She walks out in the world of transactions.
Saying in her head, "Smile, Carmera, Action!"

A lot of us know what this feels like, even if not to the degree of being an actor/actress. But I love this piece, I relate to it more than directly.

    Behind the mask
    Sharp and fast.
    With her acts.

^^ Great lines to pull us in with. Simple yet important

    She's her.

^^ The scenes make it really feel like a movie set or anywhere else an actress would be. It shows where we are instead of telling, great skill.

It's no film when no one around.
It's a chilled fire in her mouth.
No talk, No listen, all in her mind.

^^ an interesting bit though the first line of this seems unnecessary.

    Where is she?
    Out of this dimension.
    She's broken down, like recession.

^^ Love this, its the most relatable to me.

    Ok, she's back in reality.
It's almost time to get back to business, no more dreaming.
    She's preparing herself
    Getting back into character.
    Reading her script several times.

^^ It changes so fast but the story moves on so thats good here.

So she can get her lines down right.
    After another 15 minutes.
Its time to get back to the set.
Out the restrooms the actress goes
Before she looks in the mirror and puts back her "face" were molds.
Into her skin like its suppose.

^^ The description here is terrific and I love how you did that.

She walks out in the world of transactions.
Saying in her head, "Smile, Carmera, Action!"

^^ I wish I could end a poem so well, because this seems to be the perfect ending here.

Excellent job, I really like the piece though it feels quite bland.
