With Your Lips

by Kitty Kurse   Apr 4, 2012

And with your lips,
like a dream come true,
you spoke of words;
Hurtful-
yet amazingly spoken. I never thought that would ever come from you ever.

With pain and sorrow I listened to these words as it enlightened me and brought about tears upon my eyes,
as I sat there in utter and plain shock.
I felt a sudden numbness in my weak knees as the sun beat down on my warm face,
I felt like I was looking into a spot light and I was blinded.
Like I had been the first day our lips touched.

    I guess what he had to say was pretty epic and it effected you to the core. I think it's really cool that you were humble enough to take the comments even though hurtful and truly respect and appreciate them... even so much so that you likened it to your first kiss. I really really liked this poem.
