Cassandra- the legendary beauty

Cassandra. The Light of my eyes
though lost, never can such rise..
Beauty of nature she's made of..
You allowed beauty to swell your head..
Even suitors, you changed like dirty pants
potential husbands you treated as casuals

soon men where scared by wrinkles of wear and tear
others were jealous. Yes jealous
your beauty was a gift to both young and old.
fair among women, without being told.
suitors came but you were proud and bold,
to say you're not ready..
Men fought and killed to win your heart.
Never knewing you were apart.

Some say you were a goddess.
Others said you were flawless.
Pride never made you lived on,
your beauty was all settings and tinted.
You were just hallucination.

Words of your mum and friends
fell on deaf ears.
Gradually men ceased coming.
For you never knew your beauty was fading.
Though your wonderland was in the greenland.
You admired the flowers and creatures.
And they help improve yours,
you weren't fair to your self.
They stopped coming.
and your name, they also stopped calling.

You remained stupid till the day you saw the mirror.
Willing to praise yourself, but you saw terror.
Soon your name would be rumour.

Skin is wrinkled, and eyes got darkened.
You walked around the streets in dark veils..
Once again you came to your senses.
Tried to look more beautiful, but failed to.
Your birthday was the day
that you were last saw..

She eloped to the high mountains.
Never to be among men.
For she longed to be in the midst of nature.

Whenever her name was called by children.
Mothers would say '' hush, that name signified beauty and pride,
That name is a legendary and yet terror".
CASSANDRA- the legendary beauty
