What If

by Glenn G   Apr 5, 2012

What if today was the last tomorrow?
There'd be:
No more pain or grief
No more work to do
No more diseases or death
No more hunger or poverty
No more killings or war
No more empty promises
No more loneliness
No more unhappiness

What if today was the last tomorrow?
There'd be:
No more tasting of your lips
No more feeling the beat of your heart through the touch of your breasts
No more hearing I love you when I lay down to sleep or wake to start the day
No more growing closer with the passing of time
No more soul gazing through the beauty of your eyes
No more children or grandchildren to watch grow up
No more making love

In this life, time seems so important:
We look back on yesterdays
Hope for an end to today
Place more than we can ever do in our tomorrows
I'll start saving money, "tomorrow"
I'll finish that job, "tomorrow"
I'll be a better father and husband, "tomorrow"
I'll help those less fortunate, "tomorrow"
I'll ask forgiveness for what I've done and the people I've hurt, "tomorrow"
In the next life there will be no time, no yesterdays, todays or tomorrows; only "forever

There is always tomorrow but once that tomorrow passes there is no going back. We have to learn to treasure and love those near and dear, don't put off things and live life like it is the last day on earth!

Another interesting read with a personal touch to it :)
