Who I am

by Purple Haze   Apr 5, 2012

She is looking in the magizines,
Thinking that she'll never measure up.
All these girls so beautiful and petite,
With their long flowy hair, that catches the light perfectly.
Their eyes gleaming with every color imaginable.
Their smiles shine with the brightest of white.
Their clothes wrinkle free and pristine.

She looks in the mirror, seeing her bright green eyes staring back at her.
When will my reflection show who I am inside?
Her pin striaght dark brown hair was held back by one to many pins.
Her eyes had an excessive amount of coloration.
Her lips hoding a unatural shade of red.
Her clothes dull, and akward on her.
When will my reflection show who I am inside?

She pulls the pins out of her hair.
Her long dark brown hair cascades down.
She wipes off the excessive eyeshadows.
Revealing her natural flow to her green eyes.
Her long dark lashes standing on their own.
She swipes her mouth on her sleave.
Exposing her naturaly pink lips.
She replaces her dull clothes with vibrant colorful ones.
They fit her tall frame perfectly.
When will my reflection show who I am inside?
