Petrified Desire

by purplelace   Apr 6, 2012

Your eyes like black holes
luring my soul into them,
wishing to get hold of,
what they have just stole.

Leaving me in a hypnotic trance,
my thoughts clouded by you.
Immobilized by your spell,
not giving my heart a chance.

Only my silent rapture sings out loud,
loud enough to hope you wouldn't hear.
As sinister as it sounds,
I'm wrapped in your charm's shroud

Unable to escape from this petrified desire,
you have me stitched to your lair.
Frozen and bewildered by your sweet taint.
You have caused my heart to be on fire.
