Viking

Living and loving alike,
bonding with Guthrum, despite
stealing the life of a man
whom I still love, if I can.

Swift is the life that I ride,
vessels ride mountains, despite
stealing the life of a man
whom I still love, if I can.

Pray that god Odin will fight,
as we fight praying, despite,
stealing the life of a man
whom I still love, if I can.

Women with love's brewing sight,
Play with love, brewing, despite,
stealing the life of a man
whom I still love, if I can.

Fly-by-night, flying a kite,
night is but bloodshed, despite
stealing the life of a man,
whom I still love, if I can.

So

If it be, let it be rare,
sing my rare song be you dare,
if you mind not but the steal
Mind not the feeling we feel.

I enjoyed reading the poem, but I have to be honest this part

    "despite
stealing the life of a man
whom I still love, if I can.
    "

Got too repetitive that I kept repeating it in my head even after I finished reading, hehe.

But the last stanza was my favorite one.
