The Hardest Part Was Saying Goodbye.

I got a text from you
out of the blue,
saying you just didn't feel
the same anymore.
Thoughts running a million
miles through my head,
what did i do wrong?
Was it something i said?
With tears falling down my face,
i write back asking "why?"
the pain in my heart so unbearable,
all you wrote back was "goodbye".
No explanation of why you did me wrong,
how could you keep up the act of loving
me for so long?
I'll never again be the same,
and thanks to you i have to blame.
What do you do when you love someone
who doesn't love you?
Do you act like you're ok, fake a smile,
or show the pain and be true?
Im sorry i couldn't make you stay,
maybe we're better off this way.
Im stronger then you think and
ill get by without you,
i've made it through
the other stuff you put me through.
Im still breathing still living, life must go on,
and so should i, even though the
hardest part was saying goodbye..
