Thanks mom..

by Girl of Conviction   Apr 11, 2012

All my life you've told me things that hurt,
always putting me down, making me feel like dirt.
I dont know how much more of this i can take,
i know if i stay i might just break.
Maybe thats why i've put up this wall,
to hide myself from the world, and the pain and all.
Well mom i've finally met the man of my dreams,
guess he's not good enough for you, or so it seems.
I don't care what you think, no, not this time,
i'm finally happy and to you that's a crime.
You judge everyone except for yourself,
your just so perfect compared to everyone else.
Well i've got news for you, no ones perfect, not even you,
Look back over the years at the mean things you did and still do.
I hope someday you'll see the truth, see just how mean you are,
you'll look for me but i won't be there,
i'll be gone, too far.

[my mom hurt me today :( thought i would let it out on here]

A poem many can relate to, a truthful poem. It is important to do things that make you happy, I know that can be hard when other people tell you otherwise. "People like to tell you what you're gonna be," but don't listen to them, listen to yourself.

    Wonderful write, 5/5.

This is really sad. My mum told me things that hurt too, but it only made me stronger. Mums are really honest sometimes that their honesty becomes painful.. I've observed they're more honest to their daughters. 'Cause one slip, your innocence will be lost...

But, i agree. Sometimes (i repeat, just sometimes) we don't have to listen/obey, that's when we choose the right path...

    Great write 5/5 :)
