Conclusions

by Some Random Human   Apr 11, 2012

You said you had something to say,
so I dropped everything,
and ran to be by your side,
not listening when you tried,
to explain to me,
what I wouldn't see,
that we were over,
that this was closure,

And there I go again,
lost inside, lost within,
and there I go again,
jumping to conclusions,

I just assumed what you had to say,
was that you needed me to stay,
so I didn't listen,
I didn't pay attention,
and now I'm such a fool,
for thinking I could be with you,
now finally I realize,
that I'm a fool in your eyes,

And there I go again,
lost inside, lost within,
and there I go again,
jumping to conclusions,

Well it turns out what you had to say,
was that you wanted to find a way,
to work things out,
so we wouldn't shout,
or lie, or fight and scream,
you wanted us to be a team,
the best of friends, 'till the end,
but I jumped to conclusions,

And there I go again,
lost inside, lost within,
and there I go again,
jumping to conclusions,

And there I go again,
lost inside, lost within,
and there I go again,
jumping to conclusions...
