I read your poems
And they broke my heart
Especially the two
I read at the start
?? / ?? / ?? - ?? / ?? / ??
Right now I wish
I could take you in my arms
And never again would you
Be victim of harm.
My hands are shaking
As I read your words
That tell of the pain
You suffered and the hurt
I continue to read
And the tears fall free
Some people on the bus
Are staring at me.
You talk about death
As the only way out
But you know that's wrong
Without a doubt.
Then you think at the end
Of your 'worries' there's 'some light'
You're right, and with that thought
You have just won the fight.
So don't let it beat you
Or keep you down
Stand tall, you're a Queen
You deserve the Crown.
I can't see you
In any other light
Except the one
That glows with life.
There's nothing in the coffin
Or in the grave of the see
But loneliness and isolation
That's not for you, trust me.
Remember the past
You should, it's your life
But your futures' out there
And it holds the light
That shows better times
Better days are at hand
So keep hold of the light
In your heart and your hand.
By the way, I still love you
As I'm sure you must know
It's written with the pen
But it's my heart that's on show.
So please, don't think of death
As a means to an end
Think of life
Think of love
And think of me, your best friend.
