The Burden Of An Untold Story

by Jenna Bella Oldridge   Apr 15, 2012

A frightend woman
With secrets too keep
She knows too much
Yet she won't speak

Scared into silence
With so much to say
She bites her lip
Keeping the words at bay

No-one really knows her
Or what she is about
Keeps herself to herself
Incase something slips out

Her guards always up
Forever on alert
Seems so anti-social
A timid introvert

And no-one will know her
As fear keeps its hold
Her truth goes to her grave
Her stories untold

This just made me sad, no one should ever have to be like this, to have untold stories... but I love this site even more now, just because of this poem, everyone is venting and stuffs and meet friends that they can talk to.....thanks for writing this and making me think of that, but anyway back to the poem it was very deep and meaningful and sorrowful...i liked it and its rhymes it all flowed well in my mind :)

Oh man, I think every woman and man would know what it is like to hold a secret. It can eat us up from the inside out.

I absolutely can relate to this and loved what you have written. Rhyming and flow was awesome. I loved the words you've used to describe how it feels to keep a secret inside.

    Awesome poem.

The truth not be told. At times we must seal our lips. People don't need to know everything, they will use it against you
    Great poem
