I reach over in the dark.
My fingers desperate searching
for what my heart craves.
Your spots ice-cold.
All the memories come flying back.
The fight last night wasn't a dream
neither was you telling me goodbye.
Now I'm wide awake
swinging my legs over the bed and climbing
unsteadily to my feet.
I stumble over the the mirror
staring in disbelief at the reflection I find there.
Brown hair in wild knots.
Skin pale as moonlight.
Dark shadows under dull green eyes.
Can this really be the face that warded him off?
I can feel my heart breaking
That sound fills my ears.
Pain explodes in my chest to come to a
aching throb.
Never wanted to loose him.
Never wanted him to leave.
