Protected by someone

by Ole Carsten   Apr 17, 2012

Out there some one shields me
Don't know why but it has to be
I have lived through illness
Even protected in car crash

From time to time I wish I wasn't
Feelings of being let down
Kills me in short burst, bite for bite
There are no protections there

Why survive with a body
If the mind is killed piece by piece
I try to cover myself in attitude
But anyone else can see through

I have tried wise women and men
Telling me I have a strong life line
And a very weak mind
You are a fragile person

I don't know who protects my body
Please don't anymore
I am overwhelmed by accidents
I you don't mind let me lose

Fragility is not a sin
But it is cruel to live with
I beg of my inner soul
Let me be strong or not here

    ^^ I think you meant "if" not "I" :)

Ole this poem is really really sad....Its almost like a cry from a person to their body to almost give up, just let you be. SO So sad to see someone go through those feelings! But pretty relate-able to a lot of people

I would just suggest some commas in this poem to help the flow of the piece, other than that great write!
