Good Soul

A "good soul" and "ghosts in the heart", in whom Nana? Yours or his? or may be both! ha ha! See what happens when I turn your words around on you:

Each lighting up his/her part of the world,
trying to break the distance
that seems so afar ...
we flirt with our twisty
innocence, when he told me how
he imagined a hug embracing his shoulders
...from a new loving soul

Reading those cheery words
bubbling with confidence
in his new found discovery...a good soul?
It set a pause on my
inner smile,

I asked myself, puzzled,
whether
he had seen a happy ghost...residing
within the sad domains
of my heart.....?

Im jk, this was an awesome write nana...What I really liked was it was a love poem, yet it had this somewhat dark twist to it that you expressed in certain words.
Which totally makes this poem unique!

I loved the title firstly. It made me think of people doing good and bad things. Good Soul. It's what I wish everyone has these days but of course it's not always the case. I wondered what the poem was about just from the title.
I loved the first stanza. It made me smile. The images of lightening up his world I simply loved. I felt a sense of romance involved with the flirting innocently. I also loved the hug embracing his shoulders. I mean before I read the next stanzas I am thinking who had hugged him? I love hugs, they can make you feel warm inside and happy. I think that when he said he felt this hug I believe he was referring to the feeling he got while talking to you, that same warm feeling inside. Happy
The second stanza I loved as well. The whole ghosts residing in the home of his heart. Makes me think of how he could have known someone close to him that had passed away and he was being haunted by this person (which is how he felt the hug) I love the hint of sarcasm you expressed, especially when you wrote mockingly.
The last stanza was beautiful too. I could feel this sense of heart warming essence in the words. The feeling that he got a good soul. He is replying to your mocking question smiling at the same time. As if there was this connection between you two that you both realised in that moment you were on the same page and were loving the flirting.
I could be reading this wrong again but this is what I got from your poem. I loved it even if I was completely wrong. It made me feel nice to read it!!!
