Crushed

Her ice blue eyes
have lost their luster.
This weak little smile,
is all she can muster.

Her sprit dampened,
she's bruised and battered.
But wounds will mend,
collect whats scattered.

Scars will heal,
tears will dry.
she'll begin to feel,
and start to try.

Her inner fire will ignite,
her eyes will glow once more.
She'll begin to put up a fight,
anticipating whats in store.

    Amazing poem.
    I like how at first--(like most ppl)
    who have a broken heart, or going through
    something that can break you, leaving
    scars...but then slowly heal by the end of the poem <3

    Wow! I loved this! I thought it was written very well and I love the story behind it. How you described one being crushed by someone they love but then growing a little stronger and ready to face the future ahead. I like how the subject in your poem has a fighter within her! Sounds like someone I know. :p very good, I am putting this in my favs. :)

    This was a great poem. I thought the feelings expressed here was great. How even all the girl has been through she i pulling through and is going to move on. all in all a great write. :)
