Metamorphosis

by Beautiful Chaos   Apr 21, 2012

No more generations
Left with one
Won't keep my name
But always my heart
No longer cradled in my arms
But held in my soul

Lilies fall from my eyes
Lost petals
Dreams left to the wind
Drifting on discarded memories
Suppressed longings
Time and circumstance changing

Unsure if I wear a mask of sadness
Or disappointment
Learning to let go
Accept
Embrace
Sweetly defeated

Exchanging one desire for another
A love for a love
Fighting and submitting all at once
Transitioning
Sacrifices never to be seen by the eye
