Winter Soltice

by Damond   Apr 23, 2012

Winter Soltice I love your beautiful grey eccentric skies/bringing tears to my eyes
As each day goes by/
the degrees of light plunges and trying to figure out why

On Dec.22 I finished wrapping gifts/
poking my chest out with a sense of winter bliss/
these type of days i will always miss

I cuddle my wife/
appreciating every moment of our life
even sorrows and stuggles that bought us strife

On Dec. 23 watched the holiday lights brighten the streets/family and friends converge to meet and greet/looks of joy of old distant faces this is rather unique/another night that will end up complete/

On Dec. 24th reminiscing about the past/
good times and bad/spinning hip hop and with a touch of jazz/

tribe's funky beats still amaze/always put me in a spiritual haze

kids faces full of joy/
laughter filling the the room with young girls and boys/

ranging from age 3 to 11
waiting for saint nick to descend from the heavens

On Dec.25th a degree has risen, resurrection occurs, it was the light of the world, for all the world to see/
as gorgeous as it can be

The death of god's sun comes back to life,
but i'm not talking about jesus christ,
spreading its rays with incredible might,
the ultimate bearer of light
the skies never look so bright

the son of the world is god's sun,
it officially is the only one

the beautiful beaming star /
that lights the world near and far/
in space it even shines on mars/
the bringer of dawn, the ultimate universal star/

Now I see the true meaning of our december celebration/holiday in session/nobody else suspecting
but my spirit in holy admiration
