The Haunting Sleep

Torrent and torrent of endless dreams,
amidst my nights I awake with screams.

Sickening images and gruesome tales.
And then suddenly I awake and reality unveils.

Silly girl wipe the tears from your eyes
and scramble to do anything that stifles your cries.

Nothing was as it seems.
Pull yourself together, for it was only just a dream.
