The Chase for Punishment

by symonelouise27   Apr 29, 2012

Shadows dance along the walls,
The flames rise up into the air.
The mystical God enters his calls,
He has no right, has he no fear?

The creatures of the forest run
Into the unknown regions,
Where there is no light, no sun
Or any sense of orderly seasons.

The God follows until they stop,
He will never give up hope.
His mind is set on the one at the top,
The one who threatened him with a rope.

When he finds him, he will suffer,
For he is against God.
His doing may now differ,
But he will hang with his head in a nod.

God is supposed to be nice,
He is supposed to be forgiving,
But now he hunts for us like mice,
Hoping that his hunt is unending.

God will find him in the end,
You better believe it
And when he does, his body will bend
And be thrown into the bottomless pit.

So you better watch out,
You're time might come soon
When you have to walk about
The floors of his sacred 'cocoon'.
