Holding back

Secretly I was in love with one of my friends
but I never said anything i didn't want our friendship to end
I asked if he liked certain girls but he always answered "someone else"
Si I just sat back and kept all my feeling to myself
I wanted so badly to tell him how I really felt
How every time he said my name it made my heart melt
The school year went by and soon it was done
Soon we both would leave and move on
I was speaking to him and then he interrupted
he said he really had to tell me something
he told me i was the someone else
He thought i didn't like him so he kept it to himself
Then in the blink of an eye he was gone
There i vowed with love i was done
love is why i lost him thats what i believed
but holding back was the real reason he isn't with me
