Death

by Jewel Cook   May 2, 2012

Broken again she sits alone.

She thought he cared.

But I guess she was wrong.

She's alone now.

What did she do wrong?

Is she just that unwanted.

Maybe she should just end her life

now.

There's no point in living in a

place you're not wanted.

She sits in a corner and cries.

Hoping that one day he'll come

back.

Maybe one day he will care again.

He'll actually try to make her

happy.

She thought they were close again.

And again she was wrong.

Now having to feel the pain from

getting her hopes up.

Now seeing that nothing had ever

changed.

She should have known it couldn't

be true.

What made her think she deserved

to be happy?

She doesn't deserve anything good.

She's a failure at life.

Will she ever accomplish anything?

All she had were her smarts.

Now that's starting to slip away.

She searches for an escape from

this dark world.

Drinking all night till she passes

out.

She knows its wrong but she can't

help it.

"Live life to the fullest" she says.

But she knows this isn't right.

She begins to cry again.

This time she stops quickly.

She walks into the kitchen and

grabs a knife.

Stares at the blade that will soon

cut her skin.

Then it happens.

She slits her wrist and slowly fades

away.

Leaving this world forever.

Making it what she calls "A Better Place."
