This was beautiful and sad at the same time, Chels, I felt you were talking about a lover/partner who you had lost to death and how they were your God in the world, and now they are looking at you and keeping you safe from the heavens

I can feel His presence near

I love poems that start with the word Darling, in fact I love the word darling completely. It can be used in so many ways, one to really speak to the love of your life or a dear friend, or it can be used with a hint of a sarcastic tone. I've yet to read the rest of your poem so I will find out that even though it is in the love section here, it may mean something else completely.

... ok now I've read the rest of the poem and it is amazing. I simply love the first stanza. I love how you describe how much this person means to you and what you think of them but also describing your faith. I love that I get to know you in this poem a little better, what you believe in. It flows so well and I love the layout of this poem. I enjoyed reading every bit!!!

I adore poems about love and this is one of my all time favourites, as always the emotion, imagery and flow is just out standing....

"When the breeze separates my strands of hair
I will feel the covenant you have made with me-
you'll always be there despite what we may weather
Before you, sulfurous days once blistered my world
Now I'm forever blessed with your guardian existenc"
