Monsters Fall

by Jack Nightengale   May 6, 2012

Shattered hearts and broken dreams
Crushed hopes as children scream
Tis the night of the hunters moon
Cover your ears, the grenades are going boom.

A trail of blood leads you out the room
Slowly crawl back into your mothers womb
Seek its warmth, shelter and comfort
Slightly better than your pillow fort

The monsters are out once again
Cursed with their immortal sin
The stars align to their consolation
TheIr leader doesn't speak or make conversation

He leads them and they follow
All their souls and hearts are hollow
This is the day that no one remembered
Because all the monsters were dismembered
