Love's Innevitable Demise

by TheProsePoet   May 8, 2012

Concealed behind
A wall of love
Is the harsh reality of
The feelings two people
Hold and share
Both not realizing it is shared

Hidden behind a mask of smiles
Are hateful piles
Of pleas and cries

Secluded from the
Outside world
In replace of a
Loving embrace
Is the desire
To kill and strangle

Such a sad fate
Of those two
Who used to love
With all their hearts

Such is the fate of
Distrust and Betrayal
Bringing, then
Their love's end

The fate of love's innevitable demise

This poem is about two people who used to love each other very much. Their feelings changed for each other when both of them discovered unforgivable secrets of one another. They pretend not to know, so they do not tell each other of their findings. On the outside, they continue to act as how they would, but they would be tormented in their minds prisons. Eventually they will go insane from it, and leave each other.
