Comments : Just an ordinary day, a poem (Revised 11/30/2015)

Oh this is a good poem! It reflects Jesus's life very well! The way your wording and flow, combined with the story this poem told, left me speechless. The way you knew the story, and quoted verses at the end indicates that you've been walking with God for quite some time. And I appreciate that. This poem only confirms my favorite quote of all time, which is "Jesus wasn't religious. He was Radical"

    Keep it up!

Thank you Cardwell, you are right, I have been walking with the Lord for over 40 years. Today I am a minister, I love to preach the "Good News" through my poems. Thanks for your praise, to God be the Glory!

The best that can happen is find. He who finds Christ, has found it all. Thanks for reminding us, this truth.

Thank you for sharing your poem with me - I can feel your compassion for others, and your desire to share your truth with them. I have a lot respect for those who are religious and have strong religious feelings. I sometimes envy the hope religion carries into people's lives. I guess I used to feel that. I grew in a very religious household. It just got very complicated as I grew older and has stayed that way. It sounds like you have found your calling. I enjoyed your poem, its flow and words, and feeling, until the end - it felt like it got a bit muddled. I am glad scripture is great. I just felt like quoting it that way, in blocks, kind of took away from your words and the testimony you were sharing.

Thanks for your input, I just posted a new poem called "My weeping heart" before I read your message and I had your same thoughts in mind. I am a Minister and zealous to share the "Good News" so I try to put scriptures in my poem. With my latest poem which is based on a true story with a loved one who suffers with MS, she is on a experimental Drug and was doing well but the last time I saw her she did not look good and the poem I wrote for her expresses my hurt and understanding without preaching, just love. Regards, Ken.

    Ken,
Reading this, I was struck by the layout - not your usual style, but it really works and was a pleasure to read.

Thanks Mel, I'm so glad that our God man Jesus came to seek and save us both even when we weren't looking for Him! As written, while we were his enemies, dead in our sin and trespasses, Christ died FOR US!

Thank you so much, a person and an Irish companion, my grandfather Patrick Timothy Ford was born in County Cork, Ireland, escaped the Great Potato Famine by immigrating to New York in the 1850's. I see that you are very tuned in to the Good News of our Salvation and that today Jesus is still seeking and saving the lost! Love you, brother Ken
