Don't You See?

by Whitney M   May 10, 2012

Do you see what you do to me?
You drive me crazy,
You fille me with desire,
You fill me with remorse.
Do you notice,
My heart speeds up,
Just hearing your voice,
And I feel like I'm on fire,
Everytime you're near me?
I tell myself,
"It's only wrong if you make it wrong,"
Then I whisper truth,
"He doesn't want you, He doesn't care."
This is when the tears fall down my face,
My stomach clenches,
And I fear I might break.
You look at me,
Eyes full of contempt,
And disgust.
I cringe inside,
And look away.
You have the right to be angry,
I just wish you weren't.
I wish you'd forgive,
I tried so hard for you,
Just for everything to break
At a moment's notice.
I still love you,
And I continue to want you,
You body,
Your smile,
And your voice.

    Then I whisper truth,
"He doesn't want you, He doesn't care."

The truth always hurts. Nice poem!
