Ready to fly

You've seen me run you've seen me cry
You've seen how I look up at the sky
If I could fly I would be free
Free of the life that holds me

To disconnect from life and all of it's trivial plans
Always a double meaning no one understands
I would not have to bend to others demands

No matter how much i scream or fight
I am still to conform with what they say is right
For the goals they have in their greedy sight

My body might not be able to fly
But when my death comes I'll be ready to die
Because my soul is ready to take to the sky
I will be ready to fly.
