Saucy

by Maple Tree   May 18, 2012

Thoughts have lingered across my
dinner table a thousand times
this evening,
as I gaze upon my plate of spaghetti,
I can't help but fondle a lonely noodle
that has been abandoned-

Naughty intentions scatter within my
feverish brain,
as I look into your eyes-

I'm not interested in food tonight,
just you....

I love this! It's amazing that you have felt that you had this connection with the string of pasta that was alone on the plate, as if you knew what this pasta was feeling. Personifying it bringing together an awesome love poem.
