She too had a Love Story

by LittleMermaid   May 18, 2012

There is this woman who looks a bit shy
Who prefers loneliness but no one knows why
Who pretends to be fine but something seem wrong
Her sad eyes reflect those melancholy songs

She loved a man with whole of her heart
Besides the religion that want them distant apart
He used to be a man with a beautiful smile
Cheerful and smart enough to mesmerize for a while

She loved him deeply and with utmost care
For he was a lonely man with many to share
She would be lost in his innocent eyes
Promising on her own to end his every cries

But this was the forbidden love with no future
The miserable love with many more to suffer
Bold moves were needed which she feared to make
Suddenly, she was to decide which way to take

Neither could she avoid those emotions strong
To let go of him and move along
Nor she would dare to stand above
To break the rules and go for her love

So, she finally choose to give up on it
Tearing apart every dream they together weaved
So, she lives with pain and broken promises once made
And worthless love of her own never going to fade.

NOTE: Traditional beliefs are one of the hindrance for the loving hearts..Caste system is prevalent in Asian countries like Nepal due to which many struggle hard to win over their love..and unfortunately many give up...Kudos to all who have been courageous for this battle!

The imagery is well written, like the flow too. Try to look in the third line it: seem--seems-I think is fit after something.

Nicely written too. Just a bit hard to read in the first line--hmm. What do you think of it? Maybe, it's just me in my foolishness. But the corresponding lines are good. I have no suggestions about the followed stanzas below coz it was written well and great. I like the message and your point of views. I really sorry for this guy who gave up his love because of traditional beliefs. Yeah, I've read and watched about this story...many times before but still this poem conveyed a very good effect to the readers because of the right flow and the interesting part. The rhymes are great too. Well-penned.
