Now He Cries Alone

by Jeff Weiner   May 18, 2012

The voices in his head were company
like friends that wouldn't leave,
But when they went silent
his whole life would freeze,

The voices of his friends went silent
with embarrassment and empathy,
No more arms reaching out
No smiles left to see,

The voices in his heart now cold
Not caring about the pain,
Tired of the same routine
Getting up and falling again,

The voices at his eulogy were soft
Few came to say goodbye,
The last two voices that remained
left a tear in each eye,

Now he cries alone
