Something about that was perfect...I think I understand what you mean...to me, it's like...the person you're in love with is already beginning to give into their doubts and surrender - that symbolizes what you mean by 'song' maybe it could mean it literally, like an actual song that relates to the exact situation you both are in...?
Either way, you show in those brief lines that you're wanting so badly to tell him that where he's headed isn't the way it has to go. :(
