My Fists Feels It Too

by CathyButterflyJC   May 22, 2012

I ball up my fist
And look at the picture you sent
It was so long ago
And we've both learned to grow
But I don't understand
How true love you didn't want
How you never liked holding my hand
I'm doing all that I can to understand
Because I really do love you
I miss all the little things we use to do
All of that rollercoaster you put me through
The cartoon you loved
Not your language
But you learned Spanish from it
As you watched it I laughed a bit
Why did you throw it all away
Did you seriously think I could be okay
After all the love you knew I'd miss
And all the goals like our first kiss
Had you at once thought we would last
Or did you just pretend
You didn't mind not going fast
Here comes the tears
How can one person have so many fears
Why does it hurt to love someone
Even when their love is done

I do like this poem as well. It hurts to lose your love and memories from it.

'I'm doing all that I can to understand' needs to be rewritten it doesnt make sense. I am not sure what you were trying to say there.

I do love the passion and how you loved this person and the memories you drew. I love the picture you painted with your imagery. It is perfect. 5/5

This poem blew me away with the powerful wording so deep and reflective.
I love the way you have melded rhetorical questions displaying to the reader the thoughts that have flooded your mind over the years and up until this moment still breeze through your inner self. I love the way you have ended this poem with so much strength and power which made me think 'WOW'

So reflective providing readers to think of themselves and their own lives where they have felt the pain love conjures!

    5.5 from me
