My Rainbow

Red is the symbol of love,
hearts burning with lust,
warm hugs,
and passionage kisses.

Orange is a sunrise and sunset,
a place for us to cuddle,
wrapped up in plaid blankets,
whispering sweet nothings.

Yellow is exotic flowers,
alluring sweet bumblebees,
you picked a few into a small bouquet,
and tied them with a ribbon and ring.

Green is four leaf clovers,
one in a billion,
a free wish granted,
your happiness.

Blue is your breathtaking eyes,
my heart is yours,
tied with a concrete block,
sinking into sapphire lakes.

Purple is the smell of lavender,
lying in a field with this sweet aroma,
you kneel beside me, holding a bouquet of flowers,
and ask me to be your one and only.

My rainbow,
so vibrant and magical,
you shimmer after darkness,
no clouds can overcome you.

    Oh I love this! I adore rainbows so again it was your title that drew me in but I was shocked as was not expecting this. Such a beautiful poem and wonderful idea. It would be interesting to see what other people came up with for the colours.

    This is a beautiful piece. Love how you've related each colour to a memory or element of your love. Didnt know what to expect when I opened the piece, but it was better than I could've hoped.
