Dead dreams

by DarkLight   May 23, 2012

Still I cry
it is not mine
just the art of my eyes.
I tried
only to find it tied.
Dreams that I killed
now haunting my will.
I couldn't stop
it was all like a joke
now it is real
I can feel its choke
wants me dead
yet am not done with my heavenly Dad.

[I thought of how guilty one feels when something happens knowing that you could have prevented it from happening and everything comes falling on your shoulder...I then decided to compose this hope one will understand how i mean and appreciate the thought,]

The guilt can be a killer and sometimes believe it or not, we can do something about it. There are occasions where we can do something to fix the situation. Other times, it's just about praying to be forgiven and learn to outgrow it so we won't make the same mistakes.

To be honest, I feel the rhymes restricted the emotion you've poured out for this piece. Still a great read, nonetheless.
Actually, I found this very relatable, one way or another. I've felt guilty a lot of times in my life, especially when looking back in the past and thinking I could've done 'something' to prevent that bad thing from happening.
Overall, I absolutely love the message. Keep writing
