Wanderers

by beapolkadot   May 24, 2012

Depth dies
Shallowness succumbs
The willing wanderers

Young optimism
escapes along sweat covered sheets
Passion falls back into the pit

Tired eyes will forget to pick up the phone
Call back the girl with the waiting heart
Her sleeve; empty.

The tiny rabbit once bouncing
Round pink soaked walls
Purple floors

The shadow hides behind closet doors
Afraid to reappear
Depth dies

Stone solid
Shallowness succumbs
The sparkle stolen

The free will fall
The young will old
The willing will wander.
