Inner Animal

by Alanis   May 29, 2012

If you could only see the animal you made of me
The monster that holds me down inside.
Slowly consuming every pleasant thought that
Filled me with joy. Revenge is my only thought
The only thing keeping me alive.

If you could only see the beast you made of me
The taste of blood consuming my broken soul
My eyes wide with fear. What will become of me.
Am I fading to darkness? Being consumed by
A darker me?

If you could only see the monster consuming me
The one you thought you loved and kept forever
Inside your beating heart. But now my fingers require
Skin. She is gone. bringing the doors closed this is a
new chapter. Your worst nightmare
