I once knew this lady, someone from far up above
She always knew what to do when a push became a shove.
She was from the clouds that are over my head
But then came that day that I shall always dread
The angels took her back, into the big, white clouds.
Now she's just in my dreams and pictures on my shelf
The angels came to get her three days after my birth date
Now she's watching me from behind those golden gates.
But even though she has passed away and she's gone,
I'll always know who tells God to wake me up at dawn.
