Maybe, just maybe

by Brook   May 30, 2012

If ever you find yourself
alone without me
I hope you realize
what I tried to make you see
I didn't ask for a fairy tale,
nor for shiny things
I simply asked for the love
You selfishly drained from me
I lived for you
and our life together
But you didn't care
one way or the other
We could stay
or we could part
But you wouldn't be fazed.
No breakin your heart
And as I cry
myself to sleep,
I'm filled with memories
Of you and me
And I cried a little harder
Realizing how it would be
I packed my bags
an went to leave
I turned around
just to see
Just to look
one last time,
Just for a second,
just in case,
maybe, you would ask me to stay,
But you just stood Staring
As I walked away.
That was all the answer,
No words to say.

I really love this poem. Given the situation. Well written it seems as I know of the same feeling.
    Good job
