But I don't get what I want.

All I needed was a friend.

All I wanted was another in my bed.
All I want is a bullet in my head.
All I needed was to be held.
All I need is my soul expelled.
Maybe I'll finally get what I want.

    I really like how you continued with the four All lines and then two But lines ... and then at the end it was two Maybe lines. It works really nicely and then also has a good little rhyme scheme at the end of each line.
