I promised to save the world
Giving my word that I would protect the innocent
Rescue those in peril
Use all of my might to defend the righteous and just
Gladly would I sacrifice my life to save others
I wouldn't think twice about venturing into the dark to retrieve the light
But in the end, who will save me?
Who will heal me when I am hurt?
Who will save me from myself?
Who will guide me when I loose my way?
Who will love me when no other will?
Maybe I am fooling myself
Perhaps I was never meant for another
Is protection all I am good for?
For now I will continue carrying out my duty
But as I watch over the world, I hope
I hope with all my heart that someone well be watching over me.
