Liberty

by Thomas   Jun 2, 2012

I'm free
Never expected
To say those words
After what happened

Our rupture
Came as a surprise
It was so deep and wide
That I fell into one of life's cracks

There I was imprisoned
By my body and emotions
Not willing to forget
What we once were

You didn't care
Just kept on walking
Never looked back
To see how I was

But then I let go
Of the weight
That was keeping me down
And with the help of some friends

I started to climb
Out of the crack
Towards the light
Rock by rock

And when I reached the top
All I saw was light,
Good people and good times
So I promised myself

Never let the likes of you
Get me down like that
And now I'm free
And getting everything out of my liberty

I love this. i get the feeling you were in a relationship that tied you down but yet you were willing to be tied down for... but then they broke your heart and like you said "fell into one of life's cracks" for a while... but then you got over it, you felt free. 5/5

I like the idea it is powerful
    Reminds me of a quote
"the hit that doesnt kill u makes you stronger"
Maybe you were talking about a friend who liked controling everything and when u tried to talk your mind
He/she left u lost with no way to go back

That is the idea I get
    Good write 5/5
