I apologize..

I know that my life,
Has been failure in your eyes.
All my past mistakes,
For these I apologize.
You think I've let you down,
In more ways than one.
But these things I never told you.
Even though your my mum.
For all the times I needed you,
You were never there.
"Family" has two meanings.
Mine brought a life of despair.
Always the outcast,
Couldn't do anything right.
A lost soul,
In a lonely world.
Always putting up a fight.
I pushed you away,
I'm a closed book.
In the wrong again,
Why don't you take a look.
You read the pages,
You read them wrong.
Read between the lines,
You may be sorry when I'm gone.
Then again,
maybe not.
I guess some things,
Are easily forgot.
At least now,
No-one can say I never tried.
It's not my fault you never heard my cries.
