Is it a bore, my friend?

by Mattias Ostling   Jun 5, 2012

Sitting by my desk
is it a bore, my friend? Is it only a chore?
I'm not sure anymore who be havin' fun today
is it bore, my friend? Is it only a chore?

Damn straight I walk alone at night
'cause here in Obbola there's really no one in sight
Got a washin' machine that's running 24/7
you'd think I live in some kind of heaven,
but let me tell you this,
when I move out of here there's really nothing to miss
It's like a freakin' ghost town,
it's like my neighbors are deaf
not a single sound nor a single step
So wha' do I do, well I get out'a here
and hopefully my "I'm" becomes a "we're"
No more borin' nights, no more dull T.V
it'll be so freakin' great, I hope you agree!
Too bad there's another two months,
god knows what I'll do 'til then,
I suppose I'll just watch some series again.
Maybe take my inlines for a spin,
or maybe read some Huckleberry Finn
Gimme some help I'm runnin' out o' stuff to do
I'd even consider reading a judicial review!
For my boredom there is no cure
60 more days, how do I endure?
But to my great delight
now I've got a poem to write

Sitting by my desk
is it a bore, my friend? Is it only a chore?
I'm not sure anymore who be having fun today
is it a bore, my friend? Is it only a chore?

    Nice poem.

Seems like you are living in a small, dull town and can't wait to get out of there.

But maybe someday you will miss the peace and quiet of your hometown :)
