Silver Wings On A Twelve Year Old

by .i.am.the.cause.to.all.your.problems.   Jun 28, 2004

Little girl,
She died so young,
The tender age of twelve,
So much left for her to experience,
So much left for her to discover,
Yet she never will,
Taken from this world with a fatal blow,
No longer here to experience,
What we all take for granted.

She will never have her first day of secondary school,
Never have her first date,
First boy friend,
First kiss,
These things we all hold so dear to us,
She will never have.

Her dad,
He took her for granted,
He beat her up,
He s exually abused her,
He used her,
He didn't care,
He couldn't see,
What it did to her,
She hid it so well,
Even when she got pregnant,
He did not care,
He told everyone she was a slu t,
And then he made her get rid of it.

But none of this could have prepared her,
For that fateful day,
That day when he threw her out,
Threw her out the car,
In the middle of no where,
Left her for dead,
He did not care,
She screamed,
She cried,
She realised she would not be missed.

It was so cold,
She was so hungry,
But she did not feel it,
She lost all feeling when she hit the floor,
Her head was cracked,
There was blood on the floor,
And that is how they found her that very next day.

Her father came,
He came and weeped,
No one suspected,
Not one person could tell,
What had gone on that night,
Or every night, and day,
Since her mother died four years ago.

But this girl,
However tragic her death,
Was saved,
Sent to a better place,
She lives there now,
Living a dream,
Dressed in white,
Gold halo above her head,
And silver wings on her back,
She's looking over you,
And she's forgiven her father,
Something not even I can understand,
And she looks out for him,
And keeps him safe from all harm.

He can feel her,
Watching him,
Looking after him,
How he wished she wouldn't,
How can she forgive him for what he did?
He can't forgive him self,
He killed his only daughter,
His only child,
And he killed himself.
