I Love You

by Tim Kline   Jun 8, 2012

In love
Searching for Gods given light
In the night
So filled with sad sickening darkness
No safety
So for me there is no harness
The word "Devil" written on my head
But in reality
The real people know I am harmless
Heartless
The people are around me
I sound off and scream
But nobody around here can sound me
Monotone is my language
So tell me now
How was it that you found me?
Outside of my boundaries
A kid like me once had to sore
Knock, knock, knock on the window
To no longer be a widdow ignored
But nobody was home
So alone I opened that door
I crept in
Seen not a single soul was home
Seen lots of unspoken pain
So down my rifle scope I wrote
I wrote down what I seen
Two options, one table a kneck, and a noosed rope
Loose enough, that if you jumped you would have lived
Through God I am confident that this I know
. . But anyway
I found you in a hidden fortress
As the time on the clock was broke
And the score read scoreless
No loser so no winner
So with me
You and I could sour above all
And score number one on the forbes list
I grasped you by the hand
Lifted you up and whiped away all fear
Condensation falling down your face
So with my hand
I had the heart to whipe away all the tears
Year, after year
This is the girl I searched for
But at the time I didn't know it
So I brought her up to the first floor
No more pain and no more hell
Surviving shame, and living through hell
It takes a true soldier of fortune
To live and deal with that
How could you dwell?
Quick question
Will you be mind?
Only time will tell.
. . You see
These here are questions I asked
Time came and went
And shadows that once were alive had passed
Harrassed by many guys
You had been through lots of bull inside your past
But God had birthed my to be your love mechanic
And with my heart I made you a cast
I patched, and patched
Stiched it all up and watched you catch
Seen you smile
And seen you crash
But I was always there to pick up and fix that rash
No cape on my back
But Superman I can really be
I'm in love with you
And you're in love with me
Whitney Daniele Cummings
You are mine
And the world will see
. . That I was meant for you
As you were meant for me.
